The Law School Admission Test is a half-day standardized test that consists of five 35-minute sections of multiple choice questions and one 30-minute writing sample. It is designed to measure the following skills considered essential for law school success:
Although a student cannot memorize specific information to do well on the LSAT, one can get the most out of their own natural abilities and skills. A few examples of utilizing one's own skills are to familiarize oneself with the structure of the exam, develop a specific test-taking strategy, and build up speed without sacrificing accuracy.
Sessions for the course will be held in Schroeder Hall 212 on the Illinois State University campus.
Text materials will be provided by the instructor during the first session of the course. The materials are likely to include the current edition of Cracking the LSAT by the Princeton Review. This text will be used for several parts of the course. The cost of this book is included in the course fee.
In addition, the current copy of the LSAT & LSDAS Information book will be used. Copies of this book also are available at the Pre-Law Advising Center located in Schroeder Hall 423 (4th floor).
The refund policy for the fall 2007 session is included in the informational brochure on the course.
